Contego HS achieved 2-hour fire resistance on composite steel deck for MSU's $67M football complex renovation.
The Duffy Daugherty Football Building is a facility on MSU’s campus that houses training and practice areas, as well as coaching offices, space of academic services, meeting rooms and treatment facilities in the Big Ten Conference. For this phase of the project is set at $67 million and will go towards the relocation of the weight room, a new entrance and a student athlete wellness space.
Contego HS Intumescent RFB was applied to the Composite Steel Deck assembly to achieve a 2 HR fire resistance, the only of its kind in the fireproofing industry. Contego RUSTEX 710 DTM Primer was used to prime all structural steel prior to the intumescent fire barrier being applied for maximum adhesion and performance.
