This 19th century heritage building, which is on Heritage Montreal’s list of 10 buildings to be preserved, was saved by Mr. Georges Coulombe, a real estate developer and a citizen who was very committed to the enhancement of Quebec’s heritage.
The architecture of the Rodier, built in 1875, stems from the triangular shape of the land purchased by a prominent Montreal businessman, Charles Séraphin Rodier Jr. The Rodier was erected 27 years before the Flatiron Building in New York.
It was the meeting of Mr. Santelli, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, “La Piscine”, the first incubator specializing in the development of cultural and creative industries in Montreal, with Mr. Georges Coulombe, that brought the dream to life. We want “Le Rodier” to become the meeting point, the gateway for cultural and creative entrepreneurship in Montreal.

Ce bâtiment patrimonial du 19e siècle, qui figure sur la liste des 10 immeubles à préserver selon Héritage Montréal, est sauvé par Monsieur Georges Coulombe, promoteur immobilier mécène et citoyen très engagé dans la valorisation du Patrimoine du Québec.
L’architecture du Rodier, construit en 1875, découle de la forme triangulaire des terrains achetés par un important homme d’affaires de Montréal, Charles Séraphin Rodier Jr. Le Rodier a été érigé 27 ans avant le Flatiron Building de New York.
C’est la rencontre de Monsieur Santelli, Co-Fondateur et Président du Conseil d’Administration, « La Piscine », 1er incubateur spécialisé dans le développement des industries culturelles et créatives à Montréal, avec Monsieur Georges Coulombe, qui a permis d’approcher le rêve de la réalité. On veut que ”Le Rodier” devienne le point de rencontre, le point de passage pour l’entrepreneuriat culturel et créatif à Montréal.
